Accompanying slides are highly encouraged for this presentation. Team papers are still required from all teams per the Official Rules.

Unlike previous years, the 2018 symposium will begin with an exhibition on the arena floor where teams will present their vehicles and whatever other demos or posters they desire to show off their work. Contestants and the public will be afforded the opportunity to roam the exhibition floor to facilitate the exchange of ideas as well as encourage educational opportunities. The judges will conduct static judging during this period so all teams must be present for the entire exhibition session.
